Telehealth is the use of technology, either internet or phone, for patients to access health care services remotely, even in the comfort of their own home.
The Government has implemented specific Medicare item numbers during the COVID-19 outbreak which allows eligible patients to continue their care via Telehealth and be eligible for a bulk-billed consultation. SEG is fully equipped to offer all patients Telehealth appointments with any of our treating specialists.
In addition to this, our doctors have moved all consulting lists to Telehealth, to protect patients, staff and themselves from exposure to the Corona Virus to ensure they can continue to provide the necessary services to those who need them especially through this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Patients who are not eligible for a Medicare rebate can still access their appointment via Telehealth by paying the Doctors scheduled fee prior to the appointment.
