Important Information Before Your Procedure: If you are taking Ozempic®, Mounjaro®, Wegovy®, or any other GLP-1 or similar weight loss medication, these medicines can slow the emptying of your stomach. This may increase the risk of stomach contents entering your lungs (aspiration) while you are under sedation or anaesthesia. To help reduce this risk, please do not take your scheduled dose of these medications during the week before your procedure. This means you should withhold one dose prior to your procedure. If you have any questions about stopping your medication, or if you take these medications for diabetes, please contact our clinic before your procedure.
